Continued

With our Prophets of Allah lapbook thingy since my illness had stopped play for about a week, and recapped the Adam (as) story, which he remembered nicely, along with the du’a of Nabi Adam (as) which was ‘astaghfirullah’. Good.

Moved on today to Nabi Idries and although Qur’an doesn’t have a lot to say the traditions do, and I don’t know about Boss but I learned quite a lot masha’allah! The Biblical or English name for Idries is Enoch and is credited with learning many useful skills or inventing things which humans now use such as writing, mathematics, astronomy and was the first person to expound the principles of philosophy. The summary of his teachings are “Good actions form a shield against the punishment of the hereafter.Abstinence from the world is of primary importance.Priority must be given to justice in all matters.Worship Allah in the prescribed way.”

I don’t quite believe this ’sponsored ad’ which popped up along side my googled search:

Read lots and lots, I knitted their dolly a blanket (its cold at night) and I have to say that *ahem* wooden knitting needles are nicer to use than metal ones. I have a thing which set my teeth on edge if I used metal knitting needles, but the wooden ones didn’t bother me at all. Honest, I’m not plugging my stock…. :P

I want to make another doll but have no stuffing. No jokes please. And I remembered I was going to put Steiner doll links here for Elle. Here they are:

How to sew a Waldorf Doll
How to make a Steiner doll

And that’s about it.
